Hi everyone,
I have this weird problem that when I start Gwenview, it never opens up maximised, even when closed after being maximised, even when I put in a special window setting to have it maximised.
I have to click on the corresponding button twice. First, to “undo” the maximise (that doesn’t work), then again to effectively maximise it.
Has anybody else seen this problem?
I have always set Gwenview to start maximised and never had this problem. What version number of Gwneview do you have, and what distro are you using?
KDE Neon, latest version, wayland session. I can try whether this proplem occurs under X as well…
No.
If I open an image, maximise then close Gwenview - then the next time I open an image it’s maximised… using Gwenview 6.5.0 with QT 6.7.2 on Plasma 6.0.5 (Manjaro Testing).
I’d suggest you first try creating a new user to see if you have the same issue on a fresh config.
No prob on older 5.27.5
I resolved the issue with the following steps:
- log out of wayland session and log in to X session
- open image in gwenview and maximise, close.
- log into wayland session, and voilá, it works.
Could also be that it was resolved with a recent update (although just yesterday it didn’t work). Anyway, it seems to work now.
