Having problems with KDE Connect

I have tried everything that I could find for information how to get my Android cell phone to connect to Linux Mint’s KDE Connect and it will not function.

I have done the command line tool netcat And it’s able to see the cell phone’s IP address and one ping does get through. So the PC can communicate and the mobile phone can communicate to the PC. I have added the IP address of my computer to the mobile app and it finds it just fine.

It just does not add the device to the devices list, no matter what. I have tried disabling firewalls. I have tried entering into my router to completely disable every security feature. Nothing. I cannot get it to communicate.

The device just does not appear in the list.

Just to help you, I am running a Google Pixel 8 Pro.
In a Linux Mint gaming PC with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi compatibility.

Could be your router blocking communication between devices on the same network. Ping does not mean that KDE Connect will work.

The thing that got me confused is I was able to use local send previously as well, but that program recently broke. Due to one version’s outdated or something like that it’s a known bug to them and I need some way to file transfer so I went to KDE Connect

But now it’s just having communication issues. Both devices are being seen, but won’t show up in the menus.
