Help needed with bug report

Hello, I’m experiencing a severe bug since the update to plasma 6.1 on fedora 40. My whole system is randomly crashing when I play a fullscreen video encoded in AVC or HEVC. The movie frame freezes and a small audio sample plays on loop. Even the Sysrq keys won’t respond. I don’t have any useful information about the crash in journalctl. It is happening at least with VLC and mpv (both rpm and flatpak versions). The issue disappeared when I reverted to fedora 39 and plasma 5.27.

What can I do to identify the cause of the crash in order to file a useful bug report ?

Thank you for your reply ! After some testings I think I was wrong to put the blame on my favourite desktop environment. The issue seems related to a vaapi bug in mesa 24.1 which was released around the same time than the plasma 6.1 update in fedora 40.
