hi, i want to start contributing to KDE but i have zero idea where to start. i am mainly versed in C# and would just like to start with something small.
-Cheers
Starting small is the best thing to do.
Arch is a good base development, it has all the dependencies at their latest version and depending on what you will do, it can save you compilation.
We have documentation, links to resources, how to setup dev-environment
We have tutorials
Maybe what you’d want first is to identify which project you’d like to contribute to.
The simplest part to contribute to is applications generally (dolphin, ark, kate, konsole…), you don’t need to compile dependencies then.
Either you can focus on a bug you found or one you found on bugs.kde.org that doesn’t seem too bad.
Of course you can join us on matrix, or asks questions here.
