How do i change tooltip background color?

how do i change this tooltip hover background color? i tried in settings with tooltip colors but nothing changes.
please ignore my icon pack.

This iirc is set by the Plasma Style being used, with various SVG files creating the look.

You don’t change it; it uses the colors in the color scheme automatically. Or at least, it should!

I can’t be 100% sure, but I suspect what’s going on here is that you’re using an Arch-based distro and this issue started showing up following your upgrade to Qt 6.11.

If that’s the case, then I have two relevant pieces of information to share:

  1. This is a known bug exposed by Qt 6.11, not some intentional design change. It’s tracked by https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=518178, which has already been fixed, and the fix will be released with Plasma 6.6.4.
  2. In general, “how to I configure my way out of a bug?” isn’t the right question. Bugs need to be fixed, not worked around on a person-by-person basis!

I think i am just gonna downgrade my QT version or edit the SVG as the other guy suggested
