I just installed a fresh copy of Arch and have it completely setup as I like, but there is a glowing border around whichever Dolphin window has focus. How do I disable this? Thanks
Disable windows shadows I guess, if it’s supported by your theme.
That looks like Oxygen - your choice of window decoration, right?
I prefer Klassy… and Klassy has lots of options for configuring the shadow around the window (so it could be highlight, or shadow, or whatever).
As usual - just look in your settings dude!!!
Thanks for the info but I went through the settings. I’ll checkout Klassy and see what I get.
Did you, by any chance, try to remove the tick from ‘Active Window Glow’?
If this is too complicated, stay well away from Klassy!
The attitude was completely unwarranted and you knew it before making your post.
That said I changed to Nordic under Window Decorations and fixed it. FYI you assumed I had Oxygen Window Decorations installed I do not.
Interesting that you can manage this, and yet deny that you have it installed. I would suggest that it was a completely reasonable and logical assumption to make, and the provided screenshot also would make it completely obvious.
Regarding that type of window decoration, Aurorae…1) There are themes available that adapt to your color scheme. 2) Besides editing the svg’s for, say, background and buttons …a lot can be done in the themerc situated in ~/.local/share/aurorae/themes/theme.
Here’s an example of a color adaptive theme with modified buttons and some edited lines in the rc.
Again Oxygen is not installed. I checked before making my last post. You were and are off base.
Oxygen is definitely installed; the initial screenshot depicts the Oxygen window decoration in use for two windows, which is what’s providing the glow effect.
Doesn’t have to be. There are oxygen style aurorae styles. And they include the glow. Just sayin’. But those screenshots are too…um…correct ( by lack of better words) not to be oxygen window decoration. As true decoration that is. But um…maybe the op would be so kind as to post which one it was if it isn’t true oxygen.
Anyway, I picked some random ones.
None of those would have the look you posted in your original.
O well, never mind.
