I’m learning GnuPG/OpenPGP. I’m not able to find anything to remove o revoke a subkey that I created in a freshly made openPGP keypair in Kleopatra.
Does it lack this functionality? Asking because I can do that on Seahorse (didnt try on gpg cli)
Another weird thing is: if I click on Generate Revocation Certificate it asks me where to save the file, after I click save no file is created. Is it due to the fact that I never upload this new keypair of mine in any keyserver?
my answer is a bit late, but maybe it will help people who see this, still.
Yes, it is not possible revoke a subkey in kleopatra, only public keys or user IDs. Revoking subkeys is not that common an operation. Use gpg on the command line if you need to do that.
Kleopatra will never cover all operations which are possible in gpg. What you can do since recently is add subkeys to a certificate.
No. That must have been a bug and I assume it is fixed by now in the version distributed with KDE.
