How do I set up past investments?

Hello! I’m new to KMyMoney

I was trying to add my old investments in the ledger, but everytime I add the date, the number is shown in red and prevents me from making a entry.

What would be the correct way to set up your portfolio with existing finances?

So far I’ve looked up the User’s Guide and searched google but didn’t found anything.

Any help would be much apprecited

Make sure the opening date of all affected accounts is set to a date prior to your first transaction. That should do it.
