I know very well about feeling the urge to use the latest and greatest as early as possible… I have built and rebuilt KDE from SVN, pretty much 24/7 on Gentoo, for at least 4 years… 2003-2007 … I now know this isn’t something we should be doing on a laptop… those things were not built to run 100% 24/7…
anyway, this is only to say, I know about the urge…
I’m a grown up now, and I have two laptops side by side, my 2018 laptop runs Kubuntu, latest LTS with KDE Plasma 5, and I am perfectly happy with it.
I bought a new laptop this last June and I decided to try jumping to Fedora 40, which I am resisting the upgrade to 41.
Fedora 40 already has the latest Plasma and everything is working perfectly.
My wife’s laptop runs Debian.
Plasma is beautiful no matter what version it runs…
Hello all enthusiasts of KDE Plasma 6 on Debian
Good news. The Debian community recently announced that, in the future, Debian 13 Trixie will release with Plasma version 6.
Any KDE volunteer developers interested to join this effort? Link to their announcement, related links to documentation and code are here into my other message with title:

I can’t yet post direct links with my KDE Discuss account. Below is a screenshot of my full message with links.
