In X with the Nvidia driver, you have the ability to adjust the display colors to help calibrate the display. I have been unable to find an ICC profile for one of my displays, and due to age, the display is getting an slightly overall yellow cast to it. I have adjusted the OB controls for the white balance and cool gamma curve, but its not quite enough to overcome the yellow. The problem is, the RGB controls on monitors are subtractive which just makes the monitor darker, where they are additive in the driver which makes it brighter.
Turns out that many entries in Ksettings were not being displayed, including the compositor and color settings pages. They only showed up after I searched for them in Ksettings. I am assuming this was an “upgrade from 5.27 to 6” issue that seems to have left a lot of configs in broken states.
