How much cash is in all of my accounts?

I like the Cash Balances Report as it gathers together balances from checking and savings account both in the US as well as in Ireland. But that is not a true reflection of what I have in cash since there are some investment holdings, e.g. SWVXX, US Teasury bills (say, at Schwab), etc. It would be nice to have one report that gives (1) cash equivalent; immune to market fluctuations, (2) real estate holdings, (3) stocks, (maybe 4) bonds… If for no other reason it could show you how well diversified your holdings are. Thanks. A

I think the difficulty is that things like SWVXX are, strictly speaking, investments, and not cash, even if they always have a price of 1 (in whatever currency.) I think (not tested, just off the top of my head) is to create a net worth report, but excluding all investments except those with a fixed value, such as SWVXX. Hopefully those should be easy enough to identify,

Thanks so much for that, Jack. To be clear, “investments” are not difficult in this sense. As long as they are relatively liquid, like SWVXX, ICSH, etc. They pay a yield of 4-5%, are relatively secure, and can be withdrawn without much of a capital gain. So, yes, your suggestion of the Net Worth report is excellent. Thank you. A

I was less concerned with liquidity than with “investments” which are pegged to a currency (so $1/share in the US) which are used by institutions to hold what would otherwise just be spare cash in the accounts. However, as you note, with a Net Worth report, you can include investments by whatever criteria works for you. I have several in Merrill Lynch, but I think most/all of them are not real securities, cut things specific to Merrill Lynch.
