How to add 'Extract here' right click option to Dolphin File Manager

I have downloaded a few .zip files and have had to open a terminal so I can use the unzip command, but I have seen a few Youtube videos of people right clicking on a file in File Manager and seeing the option ‘Extract Here….’
It would be very useful to have this option, but don’t know how to add it!
Any suggestions please?

I have this menu option after installing:

sudo apt install ark 7zip

Without these the option is by default absent on fresh system.

You may also want to install 7zip-rar for rar files.

Thanks - I did install ark and now right clicking on a zip file gives me the option to ‘Open with ark’ so that helps. I’ll try also with 7zip and 7zip-rar….

Thanks for the response

You probably need to enable the “extract” context menu in Dolphin’s settings.

Basic system information might be interesting here (y ou know, many ‘Linux Mint’ users complain their KDE setup doesn’t work - it’s not the same as a dedicated install).

The most basic system information... 'kinfo'

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0
Qt Version: 6.10.0
Kernel Version: 6.17.6-1-MANJARO (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics

Dolphin settings CtrlShift, has everythingi already listed - check in there if it’s disabled.

You’re asking how to add a service menu which most of us take for granted - it’s included part and parcel as standard fare when you install KDE Plasma system.

ark should be installed already, as should unrar.

Creating a new USER reveals to me that it’s standard fare to be able to archive, and then have options to extract, also extract and delete archive, in the context menu.

Thanks - I had no idea how to change the settings! Done and now have the Extract option

Yes, thank you! It’s working for me now too.

In addition to Dolphin, I also use Nemo. Is there a way to extend the context menu there as well?

Update: I found the solution just after typing my question here:
