I got a logitech webcam c270, and for most applications it is still using my default webcam, how do I change this? the external webcam makes two new video devices (I don’t know why two). So I was wondering. In KDE is it possible to change my primary video devices, because currently selecting a video device is rare and only for niche apps typically through cli means. If there is any KDE setting or via qpwgraph I would like to know.
Hi - just to check, what are some of the applications you’re using with your webcam? Did they possibly prompt for a camera at some earlier point and are still remembering that choice?
Well, I doubt it, I installed a bunch of applications and tried re-installing some to see if I would be asked what webcam I would prefer using, I doubt a lot of these applications like discord, or other ones ask for webcam preference, I don’t know where it is getting the webcam from, hopefully it isn’t just looking at /dev/video0 otherwise it would be difficult to change my webcam, but I hope there is a less jank solution to my issue.
