Hi.
Every time I try to hear some PDF, mail, etc, I get a voice like that of Stephen Hawking’s synthesizer in the '90s who speaks in an incomprehensible English (especially for me, who don’t speak English
). I think it says something like… “your… is working… please… problem… ash… ash… ash… log…”
Does anyone know what it’s saying, or better, anybody knows what to do to get Okular, Kmail and others read out loud? I have the default Tumbleweed installation, but maybe this distro doesn’t come with all the necessary packages and I’m missing something?
Thank you.
I don’t want to be heavy, and I apologize in advance because I’m relatively new to using Internet forums (I’m more used to social media) and maybe I’m not understanding the label that follows around here, but I have a hard time believing that I’m the only person in this forum to have this problem.
Does anyone really know the answer or is it just that no one uses KDE’s “Text to Speech” function?
By the way, my English is not very good, but it gives me the impression that the automatic translator has not done a very admirable job. If it doesn’t make sense, please do not hesitate to ask what is necessary, I will try to use another more effective translator.
Cheers
