How to make "Logout" the default option when pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del?

Hello Forum,
I use a laptop with Tuxedo OS – a Ubuntu flavor with KDE and without snap. After finally updating from Ubuntu 22 to 24, there’s now Plasma 6.3.2 & KDE-Framework 6.11.0 & Qt 6.8.2 active.
I always switched between the four users on the computer quite often by logging out hitting [Ctrl-ALt-Del], followed by [Enter], and then logging in as another identity of mine. But after the update, the default option after [C-A-D] isn’t “Logout” anymore, it’s “Shutdown” – “Logout” would require an additional [→] inbetween. Therefore I now unwantedly shut down my computer several times a day, because my fingers have learned what they have learned :frowning:

Is there a way to make “Logout” the default option again, or is there another possibility to have a totally different, cool keyboard shortcut to logout?

Thanks for your thoughts
Christian
(still no old stager on Linux but keen to learn)

settings > shortcuts > session management

should allow you to set the commands how you want them.

if not, then it’s a regression and should be reported as a bug.

Mine’s set to Ctrl_Alt_L (for ‘Log Out’) and Meta_L for ‘Lock’… then Ctrl_Alt_Del just shows the logout screen.

You can set your own keyboard shortcuts…

That worked, I just had never seen that dialog before. Now I have the shortcut back that my fingers are used to. (Have to do it for each of the four users, though, and if ever a fifth is added…) Thank you so much!
