How to set File Dialog view preference (default icon size)

my open/save file dialog always open to maxed out icon size like this and I cant find the preference settings to change it.

hi, welcome.

the dialog normally will remember how it was configured, but there seems to be glitch in that process at the moment.

for reference please post the output of kinfo from a terminal window, you can use the preformatted text option above in the editor to paste your text.
