How to share Kdenlive keyboard shortcuts easily?

Hi,

I was having difficulties finding an up to date and efficient keyboard shortcut scheme for my work in Kdenlive, as I’m coming from Premiere Pro and FCP.

I finally did what I should have, and create one myself.

I do have a scheme now, can someone advise me how I can easily share it? Will it be available to other users from within the app like what I see there now?

Thanks!

Hi, and welcome to the forum and community.

You can download and share keyboard schema in the KDE Store.

Thanks, I see the store with the link, and it seems I can access it with this account, but could you be more specific? I don’t see how to upload. Do I need to be approved beforehand?

If you are logged in at pling.com, click on your account icon in the top right-hand corner, and select Add Product

Thanks for that, yes it seems that I do need another account for that, but I see it now:) Much appreciated!

Sorry, one last question. Any idea what category these would go in? I’d prefer if it didn’t just disappear into the abyss, since it was incorrectly labelled.

I can find the schemas, but when adding a product it’s not obvious how to position it within this section.

Disregard, I got it, it’s was deep though:)

I’ve successfully uploaded a shortcut scheme called
image

Which works locally when I export and then reimport, but I’ve tried downloading it, and I’m not sure if it’s working. Would someone mind testing it?

Hi, Just to bump this again, I recently setup another laptop, on linux this time, and tried to install my keyboard scheme through the manage schemes dialogue and it didn’t work:(

However I am able to download the shortcuts from the same repository onto my desktop then import them and they work. Any ideas why the same file but activated in 2 different ways creates different results?

Hmm, so the one you created cannot be imported, but the one you downloaded from the KDE Store can? Since they are plain text files have you checked whether there are differences in the headers or other more general data sets?

would you mind trying to install via the online method within Kdenlive?

It’s called Premiere Pro_FCP_2024 by LPS

What I’m trying to say is that both methods are referencing the exact same file, but it simply doesn’t work using the online download method, but if I visit the url directly and download, then import it does. Sorry if I’m repeating myself, I’m not sure I was clear.
