How to start Root in Krusader

To begin: I’ve got Krusader open and running. There might be two external USB drives attached, say one HDD and one flash drive. Krusader may have 1 to 6 tabs open indicating different files on either the internal SSD or the external HDD or Flash.
At this point I want to call up Krusader’s root. Whether I use the Tools>Start Root Mode Krusader or short cut Alt+Shift+K the result comes back: conversation with su failed.

Can someone tell me what to do to activate Root in Krusader?

Thank you.

I use Krusader (though never as root) but I tested this shortcut and it worked perfectly.

Generally, it’s not a good idea at all to run such GUI apps as root (something only really done by noobs) - and obviously, you must have kdesu installed…

Hi - for folks to best assist, could you please share your basic system information from the Info Center app?

One thing that will include is your Linux distribution, which would in turn give some information about possible default configurations of root accounts and superuser permissions.
