Hello, I’m a long time user of audio software in general (such as Pro Tools, Reaper, etc) recently trying my hand with some video editing.
In every audio software there is always an option to put ALL your files related to a project inside the same folder (and subfolders under it). Every file you import into the project, or files generated by the project itself (the main project file, cut clips, markers, etc) is automatically copied and put inside the same project folder.
You can then move that project folder around freely and just open it anywhere with all your needed files available in the one folder.
I haven’t found how to do that in Kdenlive, if it’s possible at all. Seems like something logical to have so I might be missing something.
So far I’ve tried the “Custom project folder” which seems to generate some subfolders inside the one I assign, but doesn’t copy any of the media used to these folders. I’m also not sure all the other non-media files are being put there or not.
And “Parent folder of project file” seems to always put stuff into the User/Local/Kdenlive folder (a default Windows folder which I don’t want to use at all for any project files.)
Appreciate any help solving that issue!
