I have a spare laptop on which I want to test latest Plasma 6 by installing Neon (for now, unstable).
The installer failed when trying to install the unstable version of Neon but testing version was successfully installed.
Can I now add a repo to upgrade to unstable and test plasma 6?
I have tried to follow the advice here, replacing testing
with unstable
in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/neon.list
, but then pkcon update
gives this error:
Fatal error: The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libkpimgapicore5: Depends: libkpimgapi-data (= 23.08.2+p22.04+vstable+git20231023.0307-0) but 23.08.2+p22.04+vunstable+git20231023.0801-0 is to be installed

while Discover also gave an alarming error saying something along the lines: “cannot remove system component”.
After I tried this, adding unstable source instead of replacing testing, the same error was present in terminal but Discover update seemed to work after showing this message:
Selecting “Proceed”, it seemed to work, but after asking to restart, the offline upgrade reaches 100%, reboots and all seems well, but when restarting it says “Failed offline update”.

(And repair fails, while Discover is in the pre-update state - wants to update the same way, showing the same message as in first image above - although “About this system” now says “unstable”.)
The same error appears when trying an upgrade in Muon, while sudo apt full-upgrade
gives:
trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/kde-geo-uri-handler', which is also in package libkf5guiaddons-bin 5.111.0+p22.04+vstable+git20231020.0113-0

With Neon Unstable iso of 7 November 2023 I was able to get a running Plasma 6.
