How to use YouTube in Linux Mint for beginners?

I have a Linux Mint VM hosted in VirtualBox uses KDE Plasma.

When I open a video it interrupts its frames. What should I do?

Hi! I don’t have any direct experience on speeding up video performance there, but just as a general heads up - KDE Plasma isn’t directly supported by the Linux Mint folks (they officially offer Cinnamon, Xfce and MATE as desktops), so you might be more likely to run into odd issues with such a setup.

If you’re looking for the best experiences with KDE Plasma, you might end up with an easier time trying some of the distributions featured here: Distributions with Plasma and KDE Applications - KDE Community

Linux Mint seemed excellent and fast for me with Cinnamon desktop - it’s a GTK based distribution.

For KDE Plasma, I would install something more suitable - Kubuntu probably works (no experience) and I hear lots more about other varieties.

Basically, I gave up years ago the idea of installing foreign desktops on my system because it’s often a lot more complicated than it appears, and brings up many issues which people aren’t aware of.

Different ecosystems which overlap…

I’ve installed it as Xfce at first.

Is there any package or something can help me about this?

I’m not sure what all VirtualBox needs in order to support smooth video playback in the guest OS, but you might also have luck checking the forums for that specific product: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewforum.php?f=12
