I can't paste any image from other programs to Dolphin

Hi, 4 days ago, I opened this topic ( Can't paste content copied from Krita in Plasma 6.5.2 ) about me having problems with Krita and Dolphin because I couldn’t paste any image content from Krita to Dolphin, but apparently, I can’t paste any image from other programs to Dolphin.

For example: I can copy a file on Dolphin and paste it somewhere else, but I can’t copy an image from Firefox and paste it on Dolphin, I also can’t drag and drop an image from Firefox to Dolphin (I installed Firefox through DNF).

Note: this only happens if I try to paste any image, but I can paste text and store it as a file.

I followed your steps of copy an image from Firefox and paste in Dolphin, and works ok.

Did it in openSUSE TW:

This also happened to me with Plasma 6.5.2, but I don’t remember which version of the KDE Frameworks I had. I don’t know if the KDE Frameworks have something to do with this, or if I just have to set up something somewhere else.

This used to work before upgrading to Fedora 43, and I don’t know if this is an issue related to KDE or Fedora.

Plasma Frameworks is basic in Plasma desktop. Can fix errors that I can’t imagine.

My current version is 6.19 (some days ago, gone out 6.20). My day of updates is Monday. So, Monday I’ll have Frameworks 6.20, Plasma 6.5.3 and kernel 6.17.8.

i just dragged your avitar image to dolphin and it make a file called RobotoSkunk in the folder i dragged it to.

then i copied an image to the clipboard and went to dolphin > edit > paste and it asked me to name the file and then it created it.

i’m on plasma 5 btw.

sounds like a regression if you can’t do the same in plasma 6
