free video sharing sites like pexels allows to download different resolutions(4k,hd,standard,etc,) of a same video.
I want to use SD version as proxy clip for 4k version.
I tried to use ‘allow external proxies’ .
I read about it in manual. It was for some cameras.
But I tried to create new profile and named it ‘contents’.
But I was not able to achieve it. I have linked a photo for showing path of those two videos and a screenshot of a profile.
This should work, it’s certainly been Working For Me™ - I don’t recall offhand if it is expecting you to set a prefix as an essential part of this working (because in my case I always have), but it certainly doesn’t care about where you got the external proxies from, just how to find them for a given clip when you enable the Proxy Clip option on it in the bin (which you also need to do explicitly if you’re not already).
