Hi all,
I’ve been using digiKam for several years under Windows to manage my digital assets aka “images” which includes importing them via USB cable directly from the camera.
So far that worked fine e.g. for Sony cameras, but I’m struggling with my brand-new Nikon Z8:
It’s configured for “USB data connection: MTP/PTP” - which is good enough for the camera to show up in the Windows File Explorer (though without getting a drive letter assigned).
digiKam however doesn’t find the camera when trying to import images from a folder and so far I couldn’t figure out how to access it via “Import/Camera/Add camera manually” either.
Any hint would be highly appreciated, because for the simple size of the images doing it via WIFI is not really feasable.
