Im trying to save a image from pdf at high resolution. So i zoomed in and captured rectangular area that covers the whole image.

However only parts of it gets saved in the image:
Shouldnt the okular rerender the whole rectangular area and save it?

hi, welcome.
yes, it should
what version of ocular are you using and what are the system info details?
when i zoom in and use Tools > Area Selection, i am able to drag a window over a zoomed up image and save it to a file as a .png and nothing is missing.
if yours is not doing that, then a bug report should be filed at bugs.kde.org
do you not get this small dialog when you release the mouse at the end of your selection?
system info:
Okular: 25.04.2
KDE Frameworks: 6.13.0
Qt: Using 6.8.2 and built against 6.8.2
Debian GNU/Linux forky/sid (Wayland)
Build ABI: x86_64-little_endian-lp64
Kernel: linux 6.12.38+deb13-amd64
yeah i do get. Initially i tried recording the whole process, but it took too long, so i cut the copying section….
As you said, i will file bug report
perhaps it would be better for file the bug with your distro than with kde
