Incorrect time on log-in screen

Recently, I have been noticing that sometimes when waking my computer from sleep, the time displayed on the log-in/lock screen is wildly incorrect. For instance I woke up my computer at 12:30 PM and it said 8:30PM. It’s strange.

Are you dual booting with windows? Linux and windows manage time differently. You’ll need to change one of them so the system time remains accurate. Which one you’ll need to decide for your use case.

I’ve noticed that as well, like once in a blue moon it will show the time as being hours off from what it actually is, then it will correct it. Only have Fedora Linux installed. Never been able to reproduce the issue. Only had it happen once in the last several months. Strange stuff.

If you’re using multiple monitors, this is likely to be https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=516479

Yeah I have 2 displays. Bizarre. Although I remember the time being wrong on both of them. But it did fix it’s self after a minute or so.

I just caught it again lol. Strange.
