Hey guys, so I was curious if it is possible to install literally any version of KDE Neon with the 6.11-oem Linux kernel (I can update once in)? I am currently running an unofficial KDE plasma desktop on Linux Mint 22.1 and it’s been great, but it is not exactly the most straightforward way of doing things.
When installing Mint, I had constant trouble with my incredibly new hardware. I’ve got an Intel Core Ultra 258v running on an Asus Zenbook S14. To get the drivers all working from graphics to speakers, I needed to run it with the 6.11-oem kernel. So, anyone got any ideas? Even if it means I boot into Neon with a kernel that will boot at all (any 6.11 really) and then update from there, I would be happy to do that, but the 6.8 kernel if I remember correctly doesn’t support any of that.
Oh it did? I have not seen that anywhere. You sure that will be on the iso and not available after updating? I am still gonna make a third partition to make sure I can get it working before erasing mint.
At the moment, the ISO, which is from February 2, doesn’t have the updates yet. It will have these when the next image is built. ETA for that? I can’t say. Normally they have been built ~ weekly, but it is not consistent.
