It’s a great app but the settings that are chosen by the user (ie: fill, font, line width, color, etc) are reset to the system defaults after every use. I’m curious if there’s an .rc file or something so that my preferences.
(Kudos to whomever set the default text annotation to bolded font w/ a white fill, black outline and shadowed text btw. Very ClipArt circa 2006 vibes lol)
That annotation tool seems to be some slimmed down ksnip/spectacle -E. Ksnip has more functions and doesn’t reset to default.
If you install Ksnip you could use it in the “openwith” Gwenview context menu. ( Changed the text to “edit” here)
Another option could be to make a simple desktop application and use “spectacle -E” as exec. But you’d have to add a few functions to that file in order to save that edited file in the same directory or another, depending what the save function is set to in spectacle.
