Is it possible to send text or links from/to Android/Windows without enabling permanent clipboard sync?

Hi

I’m testing KDE Connect as a replacement for Pushbullet, mainly to send text or links between my Android phone and my Windows PC (in both directions, but especially from PC to phone).

By default, I noticed that everything I copy to my Windows clipboard gets synced to my Android clipboard, but I don’t want that. I just want to send things when I choose to.

The problem is: once I disable clipboard sync, it seems I can’t send any text or links anymore.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

I’ve never disabled clipboard sync but I usually share phone → PC via the phone app’s “share” menu.

For the other way around I am not sure how the situation is on Windows.

On Linux I have the Plasma browser extension for Firefox and Chrome which has the connected phone as a recipient the Dolphin file manager has native integration.

Thank you for your answer.

I found : I have to deactivate automatic synchronization in the configuration of the external module on KDE Connect Windows:
