Is there any weather widget that's shows current temperature for kubuntu 22.04.4?

Hello! Is there any working weather widget that’s shows current temperature for kubuntu 22.04.4?

Thanks

Yes, the default one. But you won’t get the current temperature if you choose a weather station from wetter.com, since it unfortunately doesn’t provide this information. Choose a different weather station provider.

In Plasma 6.2, wetter.com weather stations are only shown as a fallback, due to this issue.

I’ve got plasma 5.24.7, and wetter is the only source i see.

You can go to add widgets and download condensed weather.

At the condensed weather wetter is the only source i see too.

It has NOAA and BBC as well

Do you have kubuntu 22.04.4 ? And plasma 5.24.7 ?

I don’t know why yours is doing that cause I took my image just before I posted.

EDIT:

I just checked it again and still NOAA, BBC, and then Wetter . com.

Do you have kubuntu 22.04.4 ? And plasma 5.24.7 ?

Can you comment my messages ?

The OS should play no issue what so ever in what you are getting. Now that said I’m runnging Garuda (Arch based) and fully updated to Plasma 6.1.1. Condensed Weather is one that had to be updated top work correctly with 6.1.1, so my guess would be you have a different version than I do. I think you’re right it’s time for one of the devs to weigh in.

In case you were not aware, this comes off as pretty pushy and rude.

Ultimately the problem here is probably that you’re using old software that’s full of bugs which were fixed later. Plasma 5.24 was released two and a half years ago and has been out of support by KDE for one and a half years.

In general you’re not going to have an amazing time using old software.

I’d suggest you switch to a rolling release like Garuda, CachyOS, or even BigLinux.

I didn’t want to be rude, sorry if it was sound rude)
I thought most stable kubuntu is previous one and all that comes with it, that’s why i didn’t choose 24.04 (too fresh) and 23.10 especially. And that’s why i don’t use wayland. If you insist to try more fresh version of kubuntu would you be so kind to advice which one should i use ?

Why should i try these ? Did it use apt? Changing the whole OS because of weather widget is too much, don’t you think?)

Ublunder and it’s variants are such a pain in the bottom side.

I’m not insisting you do anything; you’re free to use whatever distro you want. I’m just saying that in my experience, deliberately choosing to use an old version of your software doesn’t usually result in a better experience. You’ll be exposed to old bugs that will never be fixed in that version, since developers almost never provide support for versions that are years old.

Using a pure rolling release distro can be scary, but there are middle grounds, such as non-LTS Ubuntu versions (on the slower side) and Fedora KDE (on the faster side).

What is “pure rolling release” ? What is “non-LTS Ubuntu versions (on the slower side)” ? What do you mean?)
