Is this a dog with a beret?

It looks like a dog with a kind of beret to me… or 2 stacked berets?

Jokes aside, I really don’t know what i’s supposed to be, and it’s the only icon that sticks out from the list:

You learn something new every day.

The icon is called preferences-security-kerberos, it’s for the authentication protocol Kerberos. Its mascot is unsurprisingly a Cerberus, the three-headed hound that guards the gates of Hades’ Underworld in Greek mythology:

(from Kerberos: The Network Authentication Protocol)

The icon is just three dog heads overlayed on top of each other.

As to why it’s being used by that context menu option I have no idea.

It’s an inappropriate icon for that action, but at the time we used it, we couldn’t find anything better in the Breeze icon theme.

“we just ran with it” because dogs are awesome.

Well, this icon in this minimal size in the context menu among the other icons looks more like an accident on a busy road. The explanation is clear and plausible, but from a cosmetic point of view it would be good to choose something more suitable. IMHO …

Nevertheless, thank you for the opportunity to make this entry.

If this (Frameworks / Breeze Icons · GitLab) is the set:

May I recommend:

  • preferences-security image
  • preferences-system-user-sudo image
  • system-switch-user image
  • user-others image

liking the last one… guy looking over your shoulder.

  • lock-symbolic, despite the bad icon name that’s missing any context:

system-switch-user is an interesting idea though and I like that one too. The others might look somewhat right, but the names/concepts definitely don’t match what’s required here.
