If an ISO file were available, I would also test it.
No ISO is available at this time. See KDE Linux/installing on a virtual machine - KDE Community Wiki . Note that there are more detailed instructions for other VM software.
What about VMware? For me the only way to install KDE Linux on VMware was flashing the raw image onto a physical flash drive, then booting a virtual machine from that drive. Is there an easier way?
I’ve tried everything. I couldn’t get kdelinux to run in Virtualbox. Too bad! I’ll wait until an ISO file is available. (PS. vmware is out of the question, I don’t want to have to register for it, and neither is KVM, because other things don’t work with it, e.g., activating an existing network printer).
Try flashing the raw image onto a 8 G flash drive, then booting the virtual machine from it. Don’t forget to set up the virtual BIOS type as UEFI without Secure Boot.
