I tried to add fonts from a samba share with the font management module from system settings.
If I go to ‘Install from file…’, I can drill down to a samba share just fine until I reach the file, including opening the network icon, selecting the share, username / password entry, everything.
But if I select the file and press RETURN, I get an error message:
“The file smb://username@server:/path/to/file.fonts.zip” could not be found.
Why can I use every feature of the file selector here, but the last step falls flat?
Before somebody asks: The access rights for this file are OK, it can be downloaded via Dolphin copy and installed locally just fine.
Kate is able to open a text file on this share and write to it, so I don’t see what is keeping the font management module from fetching a file from the share.
Any insights?
