I want to create an image sequence, but my files are named “1.png”, “2.png”, … , “10.png”, etc., so kdenlive puts 10 between 1 and 2. Is there a way to correctly import these, or do I need to find a way to rename my files (to “0001.png” etc.)?

if you want to rename the files, I recommend Bulk Rename utility. Free for personal use, and should do what you need.
