Hi everyone,
I don’t know if this is a known issue but I could not find anything about it when I searched for it. Whenever I maximize a window while using an Aurorae theme I have two problems. Firstly, the whole system lags for a moment, then the theme breaks and reverts to a flat colour for the title bar:
I have tried many things to try and remedy this:
- Installed and logged in to an X11 session
- Created a new user to see if it was just my profile
- Changing from Aurorae v2 to v1
- Deleting all themes and cached files
- Reinstalling KWin
- Multiple different themes (All present the same issue)
- Uninstalling Kvantum entirely
- Disabling all plugins
I do get this error sometimes when I try to maximize windows:
kwin_wayland[1982]: This plugin does not support setting window masks
I am new to Linux so I don’t know 100% if it is related.
Does anybody have any ideas on how this can be fixed? It has severely limited my ability to customize the OS which is a shame as it is part of what drew me to KDE.
For reference:
OS: Fedora Linux 44 (KDE Plasma Desktop Edition) x86_64
Kernel: Linux 7.1.4-204.fc44.x86_64
DE: KDE Plasma 6.7.3
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Lite Hash Rate [Discrete]
Please let me know if I can provide any additional information
Thanks!
