Hi, I have three large panels set to auto-hide yet, they do intrude when plasma asks for my password, like when in Discover I make an update. Also it’s an issue when I want to edit the panels configuration, because they take almost all the screen, many options are hidden, or not properly displayed.
I understand this might be two separate issues, or not?
The first one should probably be reported as a bug, if it hasn’t been reported already. I think panels in auto-hide mode should not become visible every time when a password prompt dialog box is displayed.
Also the second one is probably a bug, but it’s a bit complicated, because your special use of panels seems to be overstretching what can be done with KDE Plasma panels.
They are already struggling with so many different forms of use, while getting better with each new release.
For example, I can’t get my 24px top panel split into 3 (left, center and right) in floating mode and properly positioned with a 48px floating left sidepanel and a 200px floating right sidepanel under KDE Plasma 6.3 (Debian stable), but it works well under KDE Plasma 6.5 (Debian testing).
