Hello, I see that KDE is working quite ambitiously on mobile as well as on the desktop, and this really excites me. I think that Plasma Camera will especially find much more meaningful use on mobile devices. But you know what, I think it would be great to do this for the desktop as well. I think it would be much better if Plasma Camera was added instead of Kamaso. Thank you very much for your work.

We intend for Plasma Camera to be able to be used on desktops and laptops as well. However, our focus with this application will be on trying to work at a lower level and trying to expose camera features for phones and more complex setups.
Kamoso’s approach is simpler and uses a more generic way of getting the camera stream, and will probably be easier to use for desktop users for the foreseeable future.
