KDE Connect Freezes KDE Plasma When Receiving Calls

Issue Summary

When receiving an incoming call, KDE Plasma completely freezes until the call ends. This issue only occurs when KDE Connect is running and handling phone call notifications. Other KDE notifications work fine.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install and configure KDE Connect on both OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and an Android device.
  2. Pair the Android device (Google Pixel 8 Pro) with KDE Connect.
  3. Enable the telephony integration feature in KDE Connect.
  4. Receive an incoming call on the paired Android device.
  5. Observe that KDE Plasma becomes unresponsive until the call ends.

Expected Behavior

  • KDE Plasma should display the notification for an incoming call without freezing.
  • The system should remain fully usable even when a call is received.

Observed Behavior

  • KDE Plasma completely freezes when a call comes in.
  • No input (mouse or keyboard) is registered.
  • The system becomes responsive again only after the call ends.

Additional Information

  • KDE notifications for messages and other events work fine.
  • Disabling call notifications in KDE Connect prevents the issue but removes call-related functionality.
  • The issue persists across system reboots.
