KDE Connect on ARM macOS Does not Launch

Hi!

I wanted to use KDE Connect but I could not launch kdeconnect-kde-master-5937-macos-clang-arm64.dmg. I see no errors. It simply does not appear, not even on the Dock. I tried through the Terminal with open -a 'KDE Connect' and through Spotlight. I have tried restarting the laptop.

System info:

OS: macOS Tahoe 26.3.1 (25D2128) arm64
Host: MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2023)

It turns out there is an icon at the top right corner that I needed to click on to launch the app. I don’t know if this is intended behavior.
