[KDE Connect] Slideshow remote pointer only shows up on laptop screen

I am trying to use KDE Connect’s (1.29.0 from F-Droid) slideshow remote and specifically the pointer to control a presentation on LibreOffice in Tuxedo OS 3 (with Wayland). The clicker works fine, and I can navigate the slides fine. But the pointer only shows up on one screen (laptop) regardless of which screen is set to be the main display.

Is this a known issue that I can get it to display correctly on both screens?

Also, bonus question: I will be using this out of my own home, but I have never used KDE Connect outside of my home network before. As long as they are paired up, and I am connected to the same WiFi, my phone and laptop should still recognize each other? What do people typically do in these situations?

EDIT: Seems I was mistaken, and it is installed from Play Store via Aurora. I have upgraded to 1.32.5 now, and the issue persists.

I’m still having this problem on v25.08.2. I suspect it’s wayland related?

Hey there people.
I’m having the same problem, currently using Nobara Official.
It’s a small problem, the current workaround is to mirror my screen to present.

I tried working around this issue with window rules, but the pointer still spawns on my laptop’s internal screen, no matter what I set it to (I need to do a presentation in school today). I tried it with delayed detection and everything, but even when putting a rule that forces every window onto the other screen the pointer stayed put on the laptop screen. Also, because the window fullscreens itself, I think it can actually choose what screen it appears on, which is probably why it appears on the internal display despite the window rule.
