For some conversations, the same name is shown twice. This happens in both conversations with one other person (“Mom, Mom”), and in some conversations with multiple people (“Sister, Sister, Mom, Mom”). Is this due to SMS and RCS? Is there any way to combine the same names? The phone numbers are the same.
Yes this is because of RCS. From what I understand the RCS accounts are stored as a separate account object which creates this duplication. This is a known problem.
