Hiya.
I think this might be a problem with Flatpak, I’m not sure. The latest update to curl breaks KDE Discover completely, it just doesn’t start. The terminal output tells me something about “code should not be reached.”
Downgrading from curl-8.10.1-1 to curl-8.10.0-1 works as a workaround… for now.
Can confirm even the flatpak commandline tool (that should be independent from Discover) reports:
OSTree:ERROR:src/libostree/ostree-fetcher-curl.c:534:sock_cb code should not be reached
I sent a (automated) crash report to KDE Discover, but basically flatpak is broken.
Looks like it’s fixed now, at least on Arch/Endeavour.
See the ostreedev project on Github, Issue #3299. I’d post a link but I’ve not currently got permission.
Relevant reply, from 8 hours ago, quoted here:
I just pushed a new release of the ostree package to the Arch [extra] repository built without curl support as a temporary workaround. Updating to ostree 2024.7-3
should fix the issue for Arch users.
ThatOneCalculator, I’m removing your AUR package, it shouldn’t be necessary anymore
I can confirm this has fixed the issue for me.
