KDE Linux - NVIDIA GT 650M not working

Only my integrated graphics seems to be working. How do I enable the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M discrete GPU in my laptop?

I might be mistaken, so take my comment with a grain of salt, but I think the reason is that this card requires the nvidia-4xx drivers which are deprecated and don’t support Wayland.

That could be the case. Is there a way to disable the nvidia kernel modules, so only nouveau is used? Maybe that will help.

I tried creating a .config file now to force the nouveau driver, following this guide:

The GPU now shows “Kernel driver in use: nouveau”.
But in the system settings it now says “Graphics processor: llvmpipe” instead of the integrated graphics like before.

I think it’s showing llvmpipe but is actually using your GPU and it’s just yet again a new bug in the GPU detection.
