I added a scrolling credits clip in Kdenlive. I set the text and adjusted the duration to get the right speed. However, Kdenlive stops scrolling the text, and the clip freezes without showing the end of the credits. I’ve looked at a few forums but haven’t been able to resolve the issue—even though creating credits should be a very simple task. I even asked AI, but it couldn’t find a solution either.
So, my question is: how do I set up the credits so they enter the screen at the chosen speed, scroll through while displaying all the text, and then disappear completely off the top of the screen? I tried moving the text area, but nothing works.
It might seem silly to ask this about something that should be simple, but I’m really stuck. Do you have any ideas or explanations? You know, the classic end credits you see at the end of every movie?

Hi. Welcome to the community! It does seem stupid from your perspective, because it’s something you think should be simple. And it would seem simple from the perspective of someone who knows how to use Kdenlive.
However, let’s not use words like that. You’re just not used to it, nothing more.
What you described is actually exactly what I would try as well, and based on my knowledge of Kdenlive, it should work. I think you’re actually having an issue with playback rather than functionality. In this case, I think you’re playing the play zone, but not the full project. The play zone can be adjusted, and/or accidentally moved while editing. See the image below.
A screenshot of your timeline could possibly confirm this. If it really is a functionality issue, then we can guide you in learning how to do it in Kdenlive.
I consider these to be basic functions, and—speaking purely for myself—it seems to me that intuitive applications should make simple tasks straightforward. Sometimes I see forum questions about very basic program functions, and my first thought is that the application in question could be simplified or improved in that regard. After all, shouldn’t forums be reserved for more complex or technical questions? But that is a vast, age-old debate; we could only really settle it over a good drink, which would take us off-topic.
Anyway, getting back to your question: the Clip Monitor isn’t behaving the way I’d like (even before playing the clip in the Project Monitor). I’ve tried the various playback options, but none of them allow the title to scroll fully from bottom to top.
I included a screenshot of my title clip in my other reply; perhaps I made a mistake there? I must have made a mistake somewhere!
