KDE Neon 6 Will Not Install on 10 yr old BIOS system

I’m Trying to install KDE Neon 6 from the live User edition from USB Stick.

System previously had KDE Neon Installed but got corrupted. So I’m reinstall Neon. I therefore chose manual partition because I have data on /home and /srv partitions; left an 8MB partition unformatted with bios-grub flag checked; formatted 1.5TB for root partition. Installation completes without error.

However after rebooting, this error message shows up

Error: file ‘/boot/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod’ not found.
Entering rescue mode…
grub rescue>_

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Try again with a simpler partition layout. It’s hard to tell what went on without screenshots of partitionmanager.
