Hi everyone,
I just moved to KDE Neon from Kubuntu because I use a tablet PC and KDE Neon take care of screen rotate (Kubuntu don’t use it) and touch screen.
To be more precise, I’m trying to forgot Microsoft Windows. So I created an external SSD (256GB) to boot on and to use on my media-center desktop PC (based on Ryzen 9 9740HS) and my Dell tablet PC (Based on Intel i3) for my everyday work.
Everything is OK except concerning the HDMI audio on my desktop PC.
On the desktop PC, the sound card is seen as “Generic HDMI” and don’t allow me to output any digital audio. No AC3, DD, DD+, DTS (-HD)… only stereo.
I use my Desktop PC as a media-center connected through SPDIF to an Onkyo Amplifier and a Samsung TV. so, as you can see, the audio and Video is important for me.
Note: I had no SPDIF over HDMI on Kubuntu and worked fine with Digital audio over HDMI.
It look like the AMD HDMI is not well recognized in KDE Neon. Perhaps some missing libs ?
I’m new to Linux and any help to solve this problem on KDE Neon is welcome.
