KDE Neon fresh install stuck on waiting for modules

I am trying to install KDE Neon 6. Tried different USB sticks using Ventoy, Rufus and KDE ISO image writer.
Tried 6 and 6.2. The live ISO loads and I start the install.
Secure boot is disabled.
Original install worked fine but I removed KDE Neon to try another distro. Using same NVME drive as before formatted to EXT4. Tried other formats with no change to the result.
I can install other distros- Mint, MX, Fedora etc.
I removed my Nvidia GPU and tried with Intel onboard graphics only.
There is no difference with any of this. Same result “waiting for modules to load” forever.

I am adding some more information.
KDE installer does not detect when I have disconnected the internet. It doesn’t appear to communicate with the network. I tried WiFi, Ethernet and Ethernet over USB. The live ISO finds the internet but not the installer.

I finally gave up. Obviously KDE Neon does not like my PC. I installed KDE Neon on my laptop, took out the drive and connected it externally to my desktop PC. Cloned KDE Neon over to my PC and it works fine.
Always new that Gigabyte motherboard was strange. Even installing Windows on it was a drama. Not using Windows on any of my computers now.
