KDE neon live CD lock screen password

My update to KDE 6.2 went wrong with me not being able to boot. So I started a live CD to copy my data to another disk (no separate /home folder). I let it run for a while, and when I got back, the screen was locked and it asks me for a password.
So, what’s the password?

Probably root? I had same quirk, but i remembered about password later so, idk if it is your answer.

No, already tried that…

Neither “user” nor “admin”

Perhaps Blank password

No, tried that as well…

Same problem here…

What I’ve done to get past the login was:

1.) Switch to shell → strg+alt+F3
2.) login with user neon without password
3.) sudo passwd neon
4.) enter new password twice
5.) switch back to GUI login → strg+alt+F1
6.) login with new password

Is someone going to ever fix this problem, or are they going to claim it’s not broken, therefore there is nothing to fix.

I used your tips and run very well.

Thanks!

may have just been a glitch, but something that worked for me is after switching to a terminal (ctrl+alt+f[0-9]) and logging in with neon user (no password), i restarted sddm:
sudo systemctl restart sddm
it acted as if i had just turned it on and put me right at the desktop.
