i recently installed debian with kde (bookworm) on my thinkpad l13 yoga 2in1 laptop. i don’t even know if it is a kde or debian issue so i’m starting here
and when i fold the screen over or wanna use it as a tablet it doesn’t switch to tablet mode. the keyboard and trackpoint keep running when folded over.
i’ve googled for solutions and found some but none for debian with kde but i’ll be linking them anyways for kontext
there’s one for fedora
(i can’t post the link)
it seems some yoga laptops do have a similar issue that can be fixed but i din’t find anything for my model and os combination
(they’re for arch and a script from github not specific to my model but other lenovo yoga laptop)
i can link those too if needed.
afaik the issue is something with the sensor and the driver that seems to be fixed in fedora
so my question is, is there a way to apply that fedora fix to my system? is there a workaround or a way to switch manually or something?
(i guess a lot more information is needed since i can’t link anything. just ask me i’ll provide as much as i can)
If the input hardware isn’t turning off, it may be a general hardware kernel support problem.
I had no issue with tablet mode or rotation under Wayland on a Lenovo Flex 15 I5-1035G1 or a Thinkpad c13 AMD Chromebook in both Fedora (38 at the time) or KDE neon.
