KDE OS Print Problem on Library Network

I have a Thinkpad T15g Gen 1 and also a T15 Gen 1, the T15g is my main machine and runs KDE on Fedora. The T15 is running KDE OS. Both are fully up to date.

For any printing I use my local library and sign on using WiFi. the KDE Fedora machine sees the library printer whilst the the KDE OS does not.

Happy to investigate further but will involve going to the library!

What kind of printer is it? Make/model?

And I assume it’s connected to the network, and becomes accessible over Wi-Fi?

Does it require payment to use?

I’d need to check the type printer printer/copier. As I understand the set up: A number of libraries are connected to a central server and when I send a file over the network from my laptop over WiFi the file goes to the central server and then appears as a job at one of the librarian’s PC and she releases it to the printer. Payment is direct to the librarian. As I said it all works fine on Fedora/KDE but the printer is not seen on KDE Linux. I can give details of the printer on Monday. Thanks for coming back to me.

The printer is a Xerox Altalink C8055.

Thanks!

It looks like this is a problematic printer. I’ve opened Drivers for Xerox Altalink printers aren't included (#453) · Issues · KDE Linux / KDE Linux · GitLab to track it.
